We’re live (and in the App Store)!

It’s been crunch time for a while, but we finally managed to get AddWater (v1.0.0) into the App Store and the website – addwater.me – live. We’ve got a few rough edges to smooth out with the website and we’ll get to those, but I need to address an issue with the app first.
When Apple approved AddWater, I decided to do something a little different and release AddWater without any advertising or marketing to support it as I wanted to see the download/sales numbers in iTunes for app discovery.
In hindsight, it ended up being a good idea, as a bug – AddWater would crash on startup – was discovered by a small percentage of users who downloaded it. It’s bothersome to me, as AddWater went through an extensive beta test program prior to being submitted to the App Store and I felt it was pretty rock-solid. Well, so much for that. No matter how much testing takes place, it can’t replace the app actually being out in the field.
As I hunt down the issue, I apologize to those users who can’t run the app, because I – as a user – would be just as upset. In the mean time, if you have any questions, comments about AddWater or addwater.me, please let us know.
